Organisation Department of Education

The Department of Education (IDO) is working on a research programme aimed at improving the teaching in mathematics and science education. Research projects are carried out in secondary and university education.

IDO staff members teach courses in science education and communication, a.o. in the two year's Dutch master programme Education and Communication in Mathematics and Science. This master programme is a cooperation with the University Centre for Teaching and Learning.

IDO works on the development of courses and curricula in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in collaboration with the Service Centre for Curriculum Development and the schools in the faculty.
