Request for wireless guest-account


A guest visiting the RUG

Are you visiting the RUG as a guest and do you want access to the wireless internet? If you are unable to establish a connection with through your own organisation then you can contact the person who invited you.

Do you have any guests

Have you invited guests and do you want to offer them access to the wireless internet? If your guest or guests are unable to establish a wireless internet connection through their own organisation, you can request a temporary account which grants access to the wireless guest network of the University of Groningen using the web form below.

Conditions 

  • Enter all the required information. If a field is left blank then the request can not be processed and will not be granted.
  • A wireless guest account can only be requested by a RUG employee.
  • The applicant of the accounts will remain responsible at all times for the use of the requested accounts.
  • Before you use the available wireless networks you will need to be familiar with and accept the terms of the RUG facilities as they are outlined and documented in the Acceptable Use Policy.

Please Note!: With a wireless guest-account you will exclusively have access to a wireless internet connection within the buildings of the RUG. (Click Groningen)

Request for 1 to 20 accounts

These accounts will be managed by the applicant. The CIT Servicedesk is able to provide this quantity of accounts within 2 workdays.

Request for  20  to 100  accounts

A request of this magnitude can take up to 5 workdays to be processed. The CIT Servicedesk can not guarantee a quicker availability. These accounts will also be managed by the applicant and need to be coupled to the individual guests by the applicant.
