There are a number of things that can cause your login to fail. Please check the following:
- Did you type the correct password? For instance, check to see if CAPS LOCK is enabled
- Check if you used the right address in your browser. If you want to log in to your student e-mail the address bar should read http://alumninet.rug.nl for the Alumni Network. For e-mail for life it should be https://webmail.rug.nl/. If it says something else, you're trying to log in to the wrong system.
- If you use Internet Explorer and you're sure the address and password are correct, the problem might be your cookies or offline files. Cleaning up your cookies and offline files might solve the problem.
Look at the menu bar of Internet explorer and click on Tools -> internet options -> General tab. Click on delete cookies and next on delete files. After clicking delete files you will be prompted to delete all offline content. Confirm you want to delete all offline content.
- If the answers above do not solve your problem, in all probablily your password has expired. Contact the helpdesk for assistance in re-setting it.
