The IMIM Program

The Erasmus+ International Master in Innovative Medicine (IMIM) is a two-year, English-taught, master of excellence, focusing on the education of tomorrow’s leading translational biomedical researchers. As a graduate you receive your degree from the Top-100 EU universities of Groningen, Heidelberg and Uppsala. The Erasmus+ International Master in Innovative Medicine (IMIM) is a European-funded 2-year programme. As an IMIM student, you follow a tailor-made training programme at at least two of the three EU partner universities. Additionally, you have the opportunity to do a research internship at one of IMIM's industry partners or at one of the programme's leading Latin American partner institutions.

Why choose IMIM?

  • IMIM is an inter- and multidisciplinary programme that you want to consider if you belong to the best and most motivated students  with a passion for biomedical research
  • IMIM actively includes the private sector in its programme and provides you with both an academic setting and an industry perspective on translational medicine
  • IMIM degree partners are all world renowned universities with a strong tradition in biomedical research
  • The IMIM curriculum at Groningen is partially based on the selective Medical and Pharmaceutical Drug Innovation (MPDI) top master that was voted the best program in its field in the Netherlands in 2014 & 2015

Moreover, the best qualified IMIM applicants from all over the world are eligible for a full Erasmus+ EMJMD scholarship!
