Projects and Collaborations

As part of the continuing effort to make the collection more visible and more accessible, the KNIR library also contributes to KNIR courses, in particular through the annually recurring course Mining Library Treasures. During this successful course, which now has known more than ten editions, an interdisciplinary group of students from our partner universities studies sources from our special collections, each year connected to a different theme. Each year, one of the outcomes of the course is an online catalogue of the studied sources, made by the students. More about this special course can be found in the course overview.

In addition, KNIR contributes to various projects in collaboration with other libraries and research institutes in Rome, the Netherlands and the Vatican. For example, KNIR is a member of the international library network URBiS and part of the Universal Short Title Catalogue (USTC), an open-access bibliography of early modern publications.

These are several of our (collaborative) projects. More projects will be made available (again) as soon as possible.
