Penn World Table version 11.0 is published
Date: | 07 October 2025 |

Today we released version 11.0 of the Penn World Table (PWT). This new version covers 185 countries and years through 2023. We incorporate the newest data on comparative prices and provide estimates of income and productivity growth and comparative levels.
Since PWT version 10.0(1), the World Bank has released new data on purchasing power parities (PPPs) for the year 2021 as part of the International Comparison Program (ICP), including revisions for the year 2017. In version 11.0, we incorporate these new data as well as the latest National Accounts data on GDP and its expenditure components, extending our period covered to 2023.
An overview of what these new data imply, as well as a description of other changes, can be found in the 'what is new in PWT 11.0' document. One noteworthy change is that PWT's data for China are now the official series rather than the Maddison/Wu adjusted series. This is a notable change from earlier versions of PWT but brings us in alignment with standard databases.
