Zpannend Zernike! is the Groningen science festival for young and old! This Groningen Weekend of Science is held in the first weekend of October.
On Saturday 4th October you can visit the Academy Building (Broerstraat) in the centre of Groningen. There you will find stands on a wide variety of interesting science ranging from the Speech Lab to AI in language. Many of them will invite you to participate in the research. Like the Archeology stand were you can research a medieval sample from a cesspit (shit/waste dump) under the old Wolters Noordhoff complex, now the Röling building. If you look closely, you will come to surprising insights. On sunday 5th October the festival will continue on Zernike.
