"A breathtaking film account of an endless cycle of violence and resistance"
de Volkskrant

2025 Oscar Winner! Best Documentary Feature Film!

This powerful and relevant documentary follows Basel Adra, a young Palestinian activist from Masafer Yatta in the West Bank. Since his youth, he has been fighting against the mass displacement of his community by Israeli authorities. He documents the destruction of villages in his region, where Israeli soldiers gradually demolish homes and expel residents. The film was created by a Palestinian-Israeli collective of four activists as an act of resistance in pursuit of justice amidst the ongoing conflict in the region.

The film will be introduced by Stefan van der Poel, an assistant professor of Contemporary History at the University of Groningen, with a strong interest in modern Jewish history. He is the author of Joodse stadjers, a book about Jewish residents of Groningen between 1796 and 1945.

After the screening, there will be a discussion in the theater based on several statements, such as whether it is appropriate for the documentary to omit the events of October 7.

This screening is organized by PoP (Praten over Palestina) and RKZbios. PoP seeks to encourage dialogue on Palestine in the hope of a more livable future for those involved.
