MOOC Protecting Health Data in the Modern Age

This free online course explains the legal framework as regards health data in light of the General Data Protection Regulation which will become binding law on 25 May 2018. It explains this legal framework, as it applies both within and outside (by using modern technologies such as apps and wearables) the medical context, by following a patient. Rights, obligations, risks, safeguards, cross-border elements, modern technologies, research and many other interesting related aspects will be discussed in this (2 week) online course.
The course is aimed at anyone who is interested in the legal framework concerning health data, including medical and health professionals, medical researchers, insurers, IT developers, people working in the public domain, students, patients and other individuals who want to learn more about data protection and the GDPR as regards health data.
