A celebration is not complete without cake! And what better way to celebrate our 410th anniversary than with a spectacular baking competition?

Whether you're a seasoned baker, a hobbyist, or a beginner, we're inviting everyone who loves creating sweet or savory masterpieces to enter our baking competition and showcase their skills.

The theme of the competition is Making Connections, so let your imagination run wild and create a cake that reflects the spirit of our university.

• You'll have the opportunity to impress our panel of judges, which consists of 3 in-house judges led by Inge Sikkens, known from "Heel Holland Bakt."
• The judges will evaluate the cakes based on taste, appearance, and relevance to the theme.
• For the top three bakers, we have the following prizes sponsored by HomeMade (Royal Smilde):

In the morning, participants can hand in their homemade cakes. The competition will begin at 3pm at the Academy Square, immediately following the opening ceremony. Show off your baking skills and let your creativity shine - you may even be crowned the best baker of the RUG!
