University Library

The library has always been a customer-oriented organization. This begins with the cataloguing department. Printed and digital publications must be described as extensively and precisely as possible, otherwise users will not be able to find them. This is why all the title descriptions by Dutch academic libraries are collected into a single, joint database.

We also do our best to be as customer-friendly as possible to physical users of the University Library. On the first and second floor tere are permanently staffed information desks, there are no fewer than sixteen hundred study places, there are study booths where you can study in isolation, there are pens for sale at the loans desk for 50 cents each, etc.
