Your Personal Startpage

Netvibes as a personal start page

If you would like te create a personal start page, than the CMB advises you to use a Netvibes Personal StartPage to organize all your (web) information, like mail, Facebook, Linkedin, links, RSS, news, video's and searchboxes to search databases like PubMed. 

If you already have a Google account, you might want to try iGoogle, Google's Personal Startpage tool.

Search boxes / widgets

Search boxes (also called widgets) are available from the Public Page of the Central Medical Library: http://www.netvibes.com/cmb. Use these widgets to create your selection on your own personal page. 

The CMB uses  widgetbox.com and eco.netvibes.com  to create the widgets. These widgets can be installed in almost all platforms: iGoogle, Apple Dashboard, Opera, Windows Live, Blogger & WordPress Blogs, even in the Intranet of the UMCG, but unfortunately not on the web platform of the university Groningen.
