The library offers library tutorials and support in literature research.

Library Tutorials

The library offers two or three library tutorials during the bachelor course:

• The first-years tutorial is aimed at getting to know the library and its principal catalogues.

• The second-years tutorial focusses on carrying out literature research and consulting the appropriate literature databases.

• The third-years tutorial is meant to elaborate upon the literature databases from the second tutorial and to deal with gray literature, citation search, electronic reference management and staying up-to-date with developments in the field (literature alerts).

In addition to the bachelor tutorials, the Library BSS offers instructions for the master programmes.

RefWorks

The Library BSS organizes RefWorks workshops for BSS staff and students on a regular basis. For more information about this topic, please check out the University of Groningen Libraries'  RefWorks page .
