Electronic journals

The libraries of the University of Groningen have licences for over 20,000 electronic journals (e-journals). Most of these are only accessible for RUG students and staff via this portal. They can only be used for personal purposes such as study and academic research. Systematically or regularly downloading large numbers of articles is contrary to the conditions of the licences that the RUG has entered into and is therefore not permitted. Your fellow users may suffer from your misuse. Access may be denied to those who do not comply with these conditions for use. See also the RUG User Regulations for University Computer Systems.

By accessing the electronic journals via the RUG portal, you declare that you accept these conditions for use.

The electronic journals can be consulted via the menu on the left-hand side:

• Alphabetical list
• Subject list
• RUGlinks search option (title, ISSN, publisher, subject)

All printed and electronic journals to which the RUG libraries subscribe can be found in the Catalogue.

If you want to consult electronic journals from outside the RUG, you may be prompted to log on to the Proxy Server, through which you will then be able to access the journals.
