Overview NHL Stenden

Vital Region program of NHL Stenden

We face some unique challenges in the northern region. We see an aging population, dejuvenation, population decline and a lower social economic standard. This can, among other things, lead to an impoverishment of the infrastructure. How do we ensure that facilities remain accessible to everyone? How do we retain professionals in healthcare? How do we ensure that care remains accessible to everyone? Together with researchers, teachers, students, institutions and the business community, we are looking for answers to these and other questions within the Vital Region programme.

In our labs we work on a Vital Region and stimulate Broad Prosperity by approaching complex issues (wicked problems) in a multidisciplinary manner from different perspectives, aiming for gross national happiness.
