10 November 2022
MOOC

The University of Groningen's MOOC Introduction to Dutch ranks number 13 in the top 100 of most popular MOOCs of all time. A significant achievement for the UG’s Language Centre development team.

The course has been an unprecedented success since its launch in 2015. The ranking is based on the total number of learners signed up in a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course). For Introduction to Dutch, the total number of registrations currently stands at over 265,000.

Through a good combination of all sorts of exercises, participants learn the basic principles of Dutch in just three weeks. Topics such as introducing yourself and describing your family, friends, work, or studies, are addressed in the course. In addition to being an introduction to Dutch, the course also introduces participants to the University of Groningen, the city of Groningen, and the region.

The next run will start on 14 November, and is open for registration. Do you want to master the fundamentals of Dutch, join our course now!
