Tuesday 10 March, the opening will take place of the special jubilee exhibition in the University Library.
In its four hundred years of existence, the University Library of Groningen has been located in one spot, a unique situation in the Netherlands.
The exhibition shows portraits of all librarians from 1615 to 2015, machines and other hardware used in the library, catalogue cards, microchips, cassette tapes, lots of photos of library staff in cramped work spaces between the shelves, and even a staff party between the catalogue shelves!
There is now a contemplation room available at the UB City Centre.
