The Medical Science collection focusses on:

The collections also consists of objects in the fields of surgery, psysiology, internal medicine, otorhinolaryngology and anesthesiology, as well as a large collection of photographs and documents. A considerable part of this collection has been made available online through the Stichting Medisch Erfgoed (Foundation of Medical Heritage).

Exhibit and collection of the University Medical Centre Groningen (UMCG)

Much of the collection of the former Academic Hospital (founded in 1797) has been preserved. These collections are now preserved by the University Museum. With changing exhibits at the Poortweg in the UMCG different aspects of Groningen medical history are still on display.
