SuSo Lunch Webinar: 'Europe's external threats and challenges, part II China'

After a focus on Russia, this webinar series of the Democracy & Governance Research Group now looks at China. The European Union is currently negotiating a business investment deal with China, but human rights violations and the crackdown on freedoms in Hong Kong have hindered relationships between the two (super)powers. 

In this webinar, Dr. Qinfeng Zhu and Dr. Frank Gaenssmantel will reflect on the China-EU relations and the role of social media and political engagement in Hong Kong. This webinar will consist of short presentations by each panellist, followed by a Q&A with the audience. The event will be moderated by Dr. Benjamin Leruth.
