prof. dr. W.J.C.M. van de Grift
Dr Wim J.C.M. van de Grift is currently full professor in Educational Sciences at the University of Groningen and scientific advisor of the Inspectorate of Education in the Netherlands.
Van de Grift’s research focusses on the following questions:
- How do teaching skills develop during the teaching career?
- Which factors influence the development of teaching skills?
- What is the influence of the teachings skills of teachers on students’ academic engagement and students’ achievements?
Van de Grift (1951) studied psychology at Utrecht University and obtained in 1987 his doctoral degree at Leiden University with a dissertation on ‘The role of the school leader in educational innovations’.
