prof. dr. T.A.C. Witschge
Prof Dr Tamara Witschge, Rosalind Franklin Fellow at the University of Groningen, Faculty of Arts, holds a chair in Media and Cultural Industries. She runs the five-year, NWO-funded research programme "Entrepreneurship at Work" and the NWO-funded action research project "Exploring Journalism's Limits". She worked at Goldsmiths Leverhulme Media Research Centre and at the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies, Cardiff University. Her research explores the ways in which technological, economic and social change is reconfiguring media and journalism, with a particular focus on cross-disciplinary collaboration, innovation and cultural entrepreneurship. She is currently finishing a book manuscript with Mark Deuze, "Beyond Journalism", to be published by Polity Press in 2019. She co-edited the Sage Handbook of Digital Journalism (2016) and is co-author of ‘Changing Journalism’ (2011, Routledge). She is a member of the editorial board of the international journals ‘New Media and Society’, 'Social media + Society', ‘Platform: the Journal of Media and Communication,’ and the German edition of the ‘Global Media Journal’.
