Expertise

I am mainly interested in the theory, engineering, technology, and education of Systems and Control, with an emphasis on applications in modern technology.
Specifically:

- Lyapunov, contractivity and passivity techniques for control of nonlinear systems
- Lagrangian and port-Hamiltonian methods for modeling and control of physical systems and networks
- Learning for/from systems and control: control-informed NNs, iterative learning, coordination control methods to enhance backpropagation learning algorithms
- Robotics and mechatronics: motion control of rigid and soft robots, high-precision control

My research interests are motivated (but not limited) by the application domains:
-(Bio/soft-)Robotics
-(Opto-)Mechatronics
-Renewable energy (hybrid power plants)
-Smart Industry
