Rozanne Spijkerboer (1989) is a PhD researcher within the department of Spatial Planning & Environment of the University of Groningen. She finished her Bachelor Environment and Infrastructure Planning in 2012, after which she started the Research Master Regional Studies, both at the University of Groningen. During her master program she specialized in Environment and Infrastructure Planning, while also gathering international experience by following courses and/or participating in research projects at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (US), Peking University (China), and the Middle East Technical University Ankara (Turkey). She finished her master (cum laude) in 2015 with a thesis titled "A policy perspective on the performance of marine spatial planning - Guiding or following offshore wind energy development in the Netherlands?". Since December 2015 she works as a PhD researcher, focusing on the development of institutional space for the integration of renewable energy projects with transport infrastructure.
