Stable Isotopic Analysis of Pre-Domestic and Domestic Pigs and Cattle in Dutch Contexts: Diet, Breeding Technology, and Mobility.
Nathalie Brusgaard is a postdoctoral researcher in the project 'The Emergence of Domesticated Animals in the Netherlands' (EDAN), a 3-year project funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO).
Her research project investigates the diet, mobility, and environment of cattle and pigs in the Late Mesolithic and Early Neolithic in the Dutch wetlands. It aims to develop a better understanding of the emergence of animal husbandry through the study of human-animal interactions. Nathalie's research explores these issues through zooarchaeological and stable isotope analysis of faunal remains.
