Natascha van der Zwan holds the Aletta Jacobs Chair Global and Local Governance with a focus on security at Campus Fryslân, Groningen University. She studies the political and administrative processes that support and create resilient communities, as they adapt to pressing societal challenges. She does comparative and historical research on financialization and financial governance, with a specific focus on the interconnections between the financial system and the welfare state.
