dr. M.K. de Boer
Marrit de Boer (1984) is a Psychiatrist and Researcher at the Department of Psychiatry of the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), The Netherlands.
In 2008, she graduated cum laude for her Medical Qualifying Examination (artsenbul). From 2008 to 2013, she was a resident in psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry of the UMCG. From 2013, she has been working as a psychiatrist and coordinator at the specialized outpatient Department for Depression at the Department of Psychiatry of the UMCG.
Since 2010, she has been combining her clinical work with scientific research. In 2014, she obtained her PhD-degree for research on antipsychotic treatment and sexual functioning. Her current research interests are depression, gonadal hormones and sexual dysfunction. She is coordinating the clinical research in the Department of Mood and Anxiety Disorders of the Department of Psychiatry of the UMCG.
Since 2018, she is also working on the development and implementation of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for the Department of Psychiatry. She likes complex projects combining several disciplines, like psychiatry, IT and research.
