Professor of Global Supply Chain Management
prof. dr. M.M. Wilhelm

Miriam Wilhelm is currently Professor of Global Supply Chain Management at the University of Groningen. From 2016-2020 she was Associate Professor. She studied business adminstration in Tokyo and Berlin, and obtained her PhD at the Free University of Berlin. 

Her main research interests lies on CSR and sustainability in global supply chains. She has an interest in supply chain governance and multi-stakeholder initiatives. She has researched these topics in number of empirical projects in the  electronics, global garment, and seafood industries. She has published in international outlets such as the Journal of Operations Management, Organization Science, the Journal of Supply Chain Management, among others. 

She has been a visiting scholar at the University of Tokyo, the Social Science Center Berlin, Meiji University Tokyo, and the University of Melbourne. She has also gained working experience outside academia which allowed her to build up in-depth expertise on the automotive industry, where she continues to engage in teaching programs for practitioners.
