dr. J.S. Gusc
Joanna (08.07.1975, Poznan, Poland) studied Business Administration at the Institute of Law and Business Administration at the Adam Mickiewicz University Poznań, Poland. She graduated in 1999. Her MSc thesis is entitled: "Cultural Constraints in Management Theories".
In 2001, having worked for a few years in management positions, she entered a Ph.D research programme at the Management Studies group of the Wageningen Unversity. During her Ph.D. research, Joanna also gave lectures in the Wageningen MSc programme in a course entitled “Innovation in the international markets”, and in international MBA programmes in both Wageningen and Prague. Further, she supervised several MSc theses on the management control and governance aspects in multinational enterprises.
At the Wageningen University Joanna also co-ordinated the development of an International MBA and chaired the Ph.D. Council at the Mansholt Graduate School for Social Sciences for two years.
Since February 2007, Joanna has been an assistant professor at the Department of Accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Business with the University of Groningen. She took her doctor's degree in 2008. Her research focusses on international intra-firm and inter-firm relationships.
