Hydrophobofilm project: ( The iGEM (International genetically engineered machines) competition is an international students competition in synthetic biology, where teams from more than a hundred universities over the whole world compete to engineer bacteria using and designing standardized genetic parts called biobricks. Projects are presented and judged at MIT in Boston( Supervised by Oscar Kuiper molecular genetics department

2011-2013: Masters Ecology and Evolution

Master project 1 at molecular genetics: Testing stationary phase mutagenisis modules in B. subtilis for evolutionary experiments, supervisors Oscar Kuipers and Martijn Herber.

Master project 2 at Ocean ecosystems:Surface adhesion of chaplin protein on solid surfaces and it physical properties in the light of antifouling, supervisors Eize Stamhuis and Dennis Claessen.

Masters essay: Duplication in prokaryotes
