drs. B.S. Wierda
I was born in Heerenveen in the Netherlands. After high school I went to the academy of arts in Groningen and received my diploma as an art teacherin 1975. From 1976 until 1978 I studied Art History at the University of Brussels and received my BA. Then I returned to Groningen and worked as an art teacher until 1990. I started my own multi media design and training company in 1990. I went back to the University of Groningen in 2001 to finish my studies in the History of Art and received my MA in 2004.
After this I worked as an independant Art Historian. I gave lectures at the University of Groningen, the Dutch Art Institute in Florenceand several other institutions.
Today I am working as a guest scholar at the Graduate School of the Humanities of the University of Groningen.
