Bart Crielaard is an Assistant Professor at the Polymer Chemistry and Bioengineering group at the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials.
Bart studied Medicine and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, and obtained his PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology at Utrecht University, The Netherlands. In 2012, he joined the lab of Prof. Stefano Rivella at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, U.S.A., as a Postdoctoral Associate on a Rubicon Fellowship from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), to study new therapeutic approaches for hematological disorders.
Since September 2014, Bart has been working with his research group on the development of bio- and nanomaterials for clinical applications.
