dr. A.M.H. Huijbers
Anne Huijbers holds a MA in History, a MA in Education (both from the University of Groningen), and a MA in Medieval Studies from the University of Leeds. She studied a year at the Université Paris IV ‘Sorbonne’ (Erasmus-programme). From 2010 to 2014 she was PhD-researcher at Radboud University in the NWO-project Religious Orders and Religious Identity Formation in Late Medieval and Early Modern Europe led by Dr. Bert Roest and Prof. Dr. Peter Raedts. In 2015, she did research in Rome, Bologna and Basel (with the Frye-stipend and thanks to the Zeno Karl Schindler Foundation). In 2016, she lectured medieval history at Radboud University. From 2016 to 2018, she was seconded to the Ecole Française de Rome with a NWO-Rubicon scholarship for her project Cum Urbem Cesar intravit. The last imperial coronations in Rome, 1300-1500. In November 2018, she organised the international conference ‘Emperors and imperial discourse in Italy, 1300-1500’ at the Ecole Française de Rome, the Royal Dutch Institute in Rome and the Istituto Storico Italiano per Il Medio Evo.
