Television show 'Hier zijn de Van Rossems' at University Museum
In a new six-part series of the television show Hier zijn de Van Rossems the two brothers and sister Van Rossem visit Groningen and its University Museum. The episode airs on Tuesday 20 March at 20.25 p.m. on NPO 2.
In exploring the city of Groningen, the Van Rossems observe that Groningen has a remarkable vitality. The city attracts a lot of young people who travel to Groningen for their studies and the city bursts with energy because of it. And there are a lot of stories to tell, such as the story of the ninetheenth-century female doctor and feminist Aletta Jacobs and the murderer Hendrik Jut. Curiosities on both of them are to be found at the University Museum. The Museum houses a completely refurbished Aletta Jacobskamer, which has recently be reopened and is now part of the Canon of The Nederlands.
