Collection Historical objects

The historical collection of the RUG consists of objects, documents and audio-visual material about the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and student life since the founding of the university in 1614 until today.

There are a few core collections such as memorial coins/medals, official clothing (togas), paintings and prints. The document collection consists of charters, bulls and degrees, edicts, lustrum documents and posters.
