In the ‘educational design’ workshop you will work on the (re)design of the course or unit that you are involved in. On the first day we will focus on your learning outcomes, constructive alignment and different theories and perspectives on designing academic courses. This day will provide you with inspiration to work on the design of your own course. On the second day you are going to take the first steps on (re)designing your own course inspired by the different theories and peer feedback.
After completing the training, you will be able to:
- Design a course according to the constructive alignment principles of Biggs.
- Formulate SMART learning outcomes with the support of the taxonomy of Bloom.
- Identify different educational design models.
- (Re)design your course by integrating elements of educational design models.
