The Cu-hybrids which consist of two-dimensional CuCl4 layers separated organic ligands have shown different magnetic properties depending on the organic ligand. The type of the ligands not only change the distance between the inorganic layers but also the interaction between the layers. We have carried out the muon spin relaxation/rotation (µSR) experiments to address this problem. Our results confirm that in the Cu-hybrids, the three-dimensional long range magnetic ordering is present. The internal magnetic field inside the materials are varies depending on the organic ligand. The magnetic critical exponent can be extracted to understand the nature of magnetic interaction. The value of the internal magnetic field at the ground state could also be used to describe the distribution of internal magnetic field in the sample. I will present the µSR technique as a local probe to understand the electronic and magnetic properties of material, and discuss our recent results on Cu-hybrids.
