The principles of block-copolymer self assembly are scientifically well established.  While self-assembly in principle affords structural control down to the 10-nm length scale, devices that make use of self-assembled structures are curiously absent.  In my talk, I will introduce a number of techniques that allow to employ molecular self-assembly in the manufacture of devices, such as polymer and dye-sensitised solar cells, super-capacitors.
