Spin injection into organic materials has recently attracted considerable efforts [1]. Substantial achievements concerning various magnetic switching effects have been presented by various groups.

In addition to this a completely new performance has been currently revealed - that of multifunctional behaviour in organic based spintronic devices [2]. In general terms, such devices can react either simultaneously or separately to both electric field and magnetic field. Novel single cell devices, showing both magnetoresistance and non-volatile electric memory in spintronic devices with various organic semiconductors will be presented. Such multifunctional devices can be considered as kind of artificial multiferroic elements. The magnetoresistance and more generally the spin transport in such devices is firmly controlled by the voltage bias and can be reversibly switched on and off by applying just 1-2 Volts.

Finally, last advances in spintronic devices using different organics as well as possible scenario for their future development and perspectives of organic spintronics will be discussed.
