To enhance the organized property of polyoxometalates, a kind of inorganic functional polyanionic clusters, as the functional condensed materials, cationic surfactants have been applied to improve the surface property of these clusters. The resulting surfactant-encapsulated complexes exhibit interesting aggregation in solution, solid surface, and in organic and inorganic matrixes. In this talk, the automatic pattern formation, mechanism and the composition with other components of such hybrid complexes will be reported to be the further development in addition to the fluorescent materials in polymer and SO2 gel, and liquid crystal material. We try to elucidate the universality and exploit possible application of the assembled morphologies.
