Porous materials are of interest for a number of reasons, including catalysis as well as the sorption of gases for sensing, separation and storage applications. We are particularly interested in applying the principles of self assembly for the construction of useful new porous crystalline materials (i. crystal engineering). Some of our most recent results (both successes and failures) will be discussed.
