Maxim Pchenitchnikov's work on Photovoltaic Blends highlighted on cover of "Advanced Energy Materials"
In the article Pchenitchnikov and his co-workers describe pathways of initial charge generation in photovoltaic blends based on novel star-shaped molecules for solution-processed organic solar cells. The art shows electron and hole transfer processes that are equally important for charge separation. The results demonstrate how ultrafast spectroscopy combined with quantum-chemical calculations can shed light on ways to optimize organic solar cells .
