Morphological Image Analysis

We use concepts from Integral Geometry to analyse geometrical structures encountered in polymer and material science. Two and three dimensional images, obtained from experiment or generated by computer simulation techniques, are characterized in terms of Minkowksi functionals. This approach can be used to study the form and structure of the constituents of the material and provides information which is complementary to that obtained by conventional structure analysis.
