Population Research Centre (PRC)

The Population Research Centre (PRC) is an internationally oriented demographic research and training institute. Research is conducted at the international level and PhD researchers and Master's students come to the PRC from all over the world. The University of Groningen is the only university in the Netherlands where students can obtain a Master's degree in Population Studies.

Real Estate Centre (REC)

The Real Estate Centre (REC) is part of the Department of Economic Geography of the Faculty of Spatial Sciences, located in one of the world’s top Schools in Regional Science. The Centre was established in 2015 to further initiate and coordinate academic research in real estate, and to elaborate University-Industry relationships.

Groningen Research Centre for Southeast Asia and ASEAN (SEA-ASEAN)

The aim of the SEA-ASEAN centre is to further inter-disciplinary research on contemporary Southeast Asia and ASEAN. It builds on the successful framework of inter-faculty cooperation within Globalization Studies Groningen (GSG) and serves side by side with sister organization the Centre for East Asian Studies Groningen (CEASG) in the broad study of Asia. The centre aims to bridge high quality scholarly research, with policy relevance and a concern for societal outcomes, in the study of the nations and societies of Southeast Asia and ASEAN as a regional actor.

Centre for Advanced Studies in Urban Science and Design (CASUS)

The Centre for Advanced Studies in Urban Science and Design (CASUS) is a research centre and knowledge platform for interdisciplinary themes tackling trends in the fields of new technologies, advanced analysis and design. We apply our research to topics such as future sustainable cities and regions, smart cities, complex adaptive urban systems and the future well-being of people. We believe in making knowledge accessible to all.
