In this thesis I analyzed the neutron-star low-mass X-ray binaries using data from several X-ray telescopes. I found that the relations of fluxes of different radiation components in 4U 1636-53 is more complicated than what the simple reflction model predicts. This may be due to either changes in the ionisation state of the accretion disc or maybe light bending effects in the system. Besides, the timing analysis of the mHz quasi-periodic oscillation (QPO) shows that this type of signal is likely to take place at the neutron-star equator, and there may be a potential connection between the QPOs and He-rich X-ray bursts.
