Dental erosion, the dissolution of hard tooth tissues due to acids of nonbacterial origin, can cause extreme tooth material loss especially if combined with mechanical factors in the mouth. The best approach to prevent the problem is to reduce the acid challenges in the mouth. This, however, poses a problem when dealing with erosion due to intrinsic factors as gastro-intestinal problems or low patient's compliance in erosion due to acidic diets. ... Zie: Summary
