his paper studies the static economic optimiza-tion problem with a single aggregator and multiple prosumersin a Real-Time Balancing Market (RTBM). We model thisproblem as a bilevel optimization problem. The state-of-the-art approach to solve a bilevel optimization problem is toreformulate it as a Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP). Wepropose a convex equivalent optimization problem for theoriginal bilevel one and prove that the global optimum of theprosumers/aggregator bilevel problem can be found by solvingthe convex problem. Also, we demonstrate the efficiency of ourconvex equivalent with respect to the MIP formulation in termsof computation time and optimality by means of simulations
