The aim of this article is to analyze the way Catalan Jews understand and relate their Jewish belonging and experience. More specifically, based on analysis of the interviewees' narratives and information collected from direct observation during the author's doctoral research, this article explores the construction of a range of different conceptions of Judaism and Jewish identity and their practical translation in the daily experience of this belonging. Illustrated by fragments of the interviews that allow direct access to Jewish life and thought in Catalonia today, this analysis enables a better understanding of the institutional transformations of the last twenty years.
