Organisational unit profile

The research unit Medical Physics of KVI-CART focuses on topics related to the clinical application of radiation, both for diagnostics and therapy. We combine our physics expertise with knowledge and experience from the clinic in order to optimize existing applications of radiation and to investigate innovative applications and develop them for clinical use. We focus on some critical issues related to proton beam radiotherapy which will contribute to the full utilization of the dosimetric benefit of proton beams.
