The Implosion of the FvD: In “Trouw” Lars Rensmann discusses extremism in the FvD and the causes for the party’s recent splits
In response to the implosion of the Dutch radical right-wing populist party Forum voor Democratie, Lars Rensmann was interviewed for a long essay published in a Saturday edition of Trouw about the FvD’s and party leader Thierry Baudet’s extremism, conspiracy thinking, and antisemitism—and on the question why fellow FvD leaders did not draw a boundary to such extremism before and did not leave the party a long time ago.
