Should the EU Expand? Prof. Lars Rensmann interviewed on RTL Nieuws
At year’s end, Lars Rensmann was recently interviewed and contributed articles to a several Dutch and international media outlets on the EU, populist politics in the Netherlands and the US, and the US elections. In light of recent debates about EU expansion, Prof. Rensmann argued at RTL Nieuws that in the face of various crises affecting the EU’s democratic legitimacy, from Brexit to the Coronavirus crisis, this is “not a time for EU expansion but for the EU’s institutional consolidation.”
